Dennis Jones : A blues shot from outta nowhere!

Dennis Jones plays blues/rock or maybe that's rock/blues — "I don't know. But whatever it is, it's gots to be funky!", as James Brown was fond of saying.

He rocks the crowd, he makes 'em scream and demand more. The muscled sleeve-less Jones weilds his axe like a lumberjack, chopping down everything un-bluesy in his path.

I don't even have to invite you.
It's inviting enough.

Call it Vibe, House Of Vibe.

If James Bond has the hottest movie in the world, and Artie Lange's Too Fat To Fish is #1 on the New York Times best seller list, you might think the world is dying for escapist fodder.

But we've put Obama in the White House and it's time to deal with reality.

Shaken, not stirred, for your pleasure, the man of the House, Anthony Brewster, puts the P in the Funk, and without holding back one iota, delivers a one-two punch of soul, rock, reggae, funk and r&b.

Like a close range paint-ball blast to the gut, you'll feel it tomorrow, but tonight, enjoy it along with the beautiful crowd that always makes Wednesday night a party.

House Of Vibe Allstars.
Tonight at Harvelle's.

Ryan Cross and Co : Friday Night Soul Funk

Ryan Cross once again brought it, and while the place was steaming up from all the sweaty people in the club, Ryan stayed cool as ever, directing, producing and performing his wildly funky show.

The Toledo Show : Join The Congregation

You know what day it is.
You also know what happens at Harvelle's every week at this time.
That's right.
The pandemonium known as The Toledo Show.
It's as indescribable as it is soulful.
The combo of Mr Toledo Diamond, his bevy of burlesque beauties, and the awesome powerhouse band that holds it all together is something that packs 'em in, week after week.

Just like church.
At night.
With the pastor chain-smoking cigarillos,
and the choir turned up to 11.
Watch the video below for a clue.
You'll go to work Monday telling all your friends you've been born again.
And you'll want them to believe too.
