Jimmy Z : Friz-iday Niz-ight
There’s a reason legendary blues Diva Etta James calls Jimmy Z her "Hootchie Cootchie Man" and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics calls him"the best harmonica player in the world." Jimmy attracts attention. Jimmy Z’s blazing harmonica and soulful saxophone make him one of the most in-demand players around. Jimmy Z regularly draws a large and ready-to-party crowd.

Justified and ancient as life itself, the freewheelin' Luminous Movement will chill-ax you into a sonic bluster of time and space. As funky as they are conscious, the live band known as Higher, provides the backbeat to the hip-hop soundtrack fronted by Freewill and his cast of rappers, musicians and singers.

HARVELLE'S CLOSED FOR REPAIRS
Apologizing for the inconvenience, the management of Harvelle's informs me the club will be closed Tuesday (tonight). They will re-open Wednesday for House Of Vibe at their regularly scheduled time. Bongo Fury fans will reconvene next week.
Bongo Fury : Music To Watch Girls By
This Tuesday, rain or shine, Harvelle's will host it's weekly Bongo Fury party. Rich afro-cuban jazz-funk, beautiful burlesque dancers and DJ Daylight spinning funk and brazilian beats entertain like nobody's business. The incomparable Walter Davis leads the band, plays the sax and directs the action.

If It's Sunday, It Must Be Toledo
Internationally known, The Toledo Show graces the stages of Harvelle's every Sunday night. This electric live cabaret is filled with hot dancing dames, horn-fueled jams and heavy funk. The man - Toledo - holds court, and directs the controlled chaos like a cross between P.T. Barnum and Petey Wheatstraw! One show not to miss.
