Harlow Gold : Non Stop Erotic Cabaret

Harlow Gold is a burlesque show like none other. The 7 woman troupe of beautiful angels are sexy, fun and the more times I see this show, the better it gets. These women are hot and the sell out crowd goes wild with each and every number the ladies perform. The action is non-stop!!

If you haven't seen a burlesque revue before or you enjoy the art form, or just like watching hot women shake what their mama gave 'em - I recommend a trip to Harvelle's to check 'em out. Reservations are a good idea as the show is standing room only. Click here for info and to make your reservations now! [Harlow Gold Reservations]

JSB : Johnny Stachela Band

The Johnny Stachela Band (JSB) is like a bad moon on the rise. JSB is Johnny Stachela (guitars guitars guitars), Jessie Payo (vocals) Vince Foster (drums) and Jason Benfield (bass). Johnny - his bad self - and that Gibson SG shredding up and down in his southern fried style is the model of a guitarist's guitarist. Seeing this band play is a reminder of why I love music. Jessie Payo never fails to impress with her soul wrenching singing and lovely prescence. The yin/yang duo provide hard and soft, sweet and sour, aggressive and gentle while Vince and Jason hold down the bottom end. Catch 'em live!!

Harvelle's Weekend :
Dennis Jones + Jimmy Z +The Toledo Show

Friday:
Dennis packs 'em in so get there early and be ready to dance.
Guitar master-blaster D.J. leads his rockin' trio (Michael Turner on drums and Sam Correa on bass) through some of the funkiest blues around.

Saturday:
The world famous Z-Tribe featuring triple threat sax/harmonica/singer Jimmy Z. Music and dancing for those ready to have great time.

Sunday:
It's a dark erotic burlesque cabaret. What does that mean? Toledo and his backing band paint musical pictures filled with grit and romance. The Dames are his impossibly sexy troupe of dancers that thrill the crowd.

JT Ross says:
"Harvelle's is the OLDEST live music venue on the West side and is among the most intimate of clubs one will find in Los Angeles. It's dark & sexy and the perfect room for dressing up, sipping your favorite top shelf cocktail and dancing the night away. So bring your friends, husbands, wifes, lovers, neighbors and anyone who simply wants to have an incredible time."

Café R & B : Her Name Is Roach!

I have run outta adjectives trying to describe the greatest band that plays at Harvelle's.

Suffice it to say that I get a wild thrill hearing lead singer Roach's insanely beautiful voice transcend anger, power and lovin' - all the emotions at once. (I guess I got a few adjectives left.)

Lucky for her she's driven a Cadillac full of the meanest, grimiest players; soul hitchhikers picked up along the way from the blues swamps of the South to the West coast revivalist movement.

A talent like Roach is such a rare find that it's almost too heavy to fathom. Seeing Cafe R&B in such a small venue is a blues fans' dream come true. An experience to write home about.

Cafe R&B, is Byl Caruthers - guitar, Roach - vocals, Bobby Pickett- bass, Don Swanson - drums, and Harry Cohen on the organ.

Vintage Trouble : Another Perfect Night?
You Better Believe It!!

I guess it's not such a secret anymore. The greatest band in America today is Vintage Trouble. If you don't know about 'em that's your fault. They have a CD out (The Bomb Shelter Sessions) and they play Harvelle's every Tuesday. This band is on their way up and now is the time to see 'em in an intimate venue. Harvelle's - with it's black and white checked dance floor and luxurious red booths is the perfect atmosphere for VT's incredible soul music.
