Dinner Show : A Retro Evening WIth Acoustic Blues

Back in the 1940s, Harvelle's incorporated the real estate to it's immediate North - now the home of West 4th/Jane. Tonight the club brings back some of that flavor with a summertime dinner show. With food prepared by Chef Demitrius (West 4th/Jane), the club's layout will be tables and chairs on the dance floor, and dinner will be served while Guy Davis plays his acoustic blues in an intimate and unique setting.

Gino always brings the blues, the soul, the guitar histrionics and the tightest band I've seen at Harvelles in a while.


Gino doesn't hang around these parts often, so when he comes to rock the party, he does it big never limiting himself to one sound or style. His first set was over 2 hours and focused on blues. His second set was everything and anything funky… Meters, Michael Jackson, Booker T, soloing his ass off.


As he solo-ed off the stage into the crowd of revelers, he took the party to the next level.

For those unfamiliar with Gino, he has a moving blues voice and passionate guitar style that touches everyone. To classify him is difficult. He brings blues from the streets of New Orleans and Chicago to the urban metropolitan area of Los Angeles, with a twist; creating “Urban Blues”. If Pearl Jam and Parliament had a baby that grew up at B.B. King’s house on Bourbon Street……...This is what you would get.

Gino, who often tours with blues genius Jonny Lang, will throw down in high style, kicking off the weekend... and there is a 'strong possibility' that Mr Lang himself will be sitting in.
