As summer heats up, changes are afoot at Harvelle's. Going on a hiatus from their Monday night residency Was (Not Was) is leaving and will return in the Fall, but for now the incredible guitar playing, deep-voiced singing Kevin Moore (wiki-Kevin Moore) is taking over. Kevin played here as a Monday night resident earlier this year and the place was packed every time. Come see what all the fuss is about.

MASTA : The Edge Of Soul

The dulcet tones of Masta are what tonight is all about at Harvelle's. He recently performed at the club during the Monday night invitational jam residency as a guest of Kevin Moore.
His repertoire is deep and his dress is sharp! Come down and experience it yourself. It's Friday night. The bar is open and the dance floor is empty. Take advantage of both.

Kevin Moore Invitational Blues Jam : 15 Years Gone... Now Back Here At Harvelle's

Kevin Moore's homecoming last week, was a hell of a way to start his Monday night residency at Harvelle's.

The Invitational Jam's (which will continue through the end of December) featured guests included vocalists Ty Taylor (The Ghosthounds) and the smooth soulful Heather Lauren

Kevin and the band ripped through awesome versions of "Love & Happiness", "It's A Real Mutha For Ya", "Born Under A Bad Sign" "The Christmas Song" and his own "Shave Yo Legs".

His monster backup band tore through some gut-crunching blues-funk, blues-rock and blues-soul and had the Monday night crowd dancing in the aisles. With his easy going style onstage and obvious audience rapport, Kevin demonstrated his incredible guitar prowess and proved why he is at the top of his game.

Kevin Moore : Returning after 15 years!

The crew at Harvelle's are excited as hell to have Kevin Moore back in the club!
So, where's he been all these years?

Los Angeles born Moore, was a Harvelle's regular some 15 years ago, (before he adopted his better known stage name), performing every Sunday night for 2 years.

When he left his Harvelle's residency, his vision complete, his music encompassed not only his take on authentic delta blues, but many genres including folk, jazz and r&b.

The man is a singer/songwriter at the core, but with his amazing guitar talent, most consider him an authentic bluesman. He's collaborated with Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne, but this month, he returns to the "home" where he first worked out the music that is an integral part of his repertoire. Every Monday til the end of the year, Kevin Moore will be at Harvelle's, right here in Santa Monica.

Come early.
This is gonna be a real treat for fans of the blues.
