Sometimes, The Blues Is All There Is...

She's going out of town for a couple of days...
That's how it begins.
So we're gonna have a good time before she gets on that airplane. The soundtrack? The harmonica blues of Gary Allegretto. Blues can be lonely, especially the train-like wail of the harmonica, but in the right hands, it also can make you want to drink and dance and smile. Mr. Allegretto has those hands. Check 'em out on MySpace.

Friday night... we celebrate.
We party and imbibe and have fun.
Then I'll put her in a taxi, she'll catch the red-eye, and I'll hang some more and stay out until it's late enough to go home.

J.T. Ross : Blues Power

A funky good time is guaranteed when J.T. Ross is in the building.
Harp blowing, soulful singing, J.T. wears the crown of harmonica king in lands near and far. Never underestimate the power of blues. It not only moves, it re-moves; blues has the power to heal, so if you got ailments or other conditions, such as being parched, boogie-less or without a date, consider Harvelle's your church and get saved.

JT Ross : Harmonica Boss

Harvelle's Blues Club has been open since 1931 and has had it's share of famous patrons. . .
Jim Morrison used to take a cab from Venice to drink whiskey and hear REAL blues at Harvelle's. Bob Dylan still frequents Harvelle's and Dennis Quaid's band has played Harvelle's for years.

Harvelle's is at 4th and Broadway in Downtown Santa Monica.
But you knew that.
