Call it Vibe, House Of Vibe.

If James Bond has the hottest movie in the world, and Artie Lange's Too Fat To Fish is #1 on the New York Times best seller list, you might think the world is dying for escapist fodder.

But we've put Obama in the White House and it's time to deal with reality.

Shaken, not stirred, for your pleasure, the man of the House, Anthony Brewster, puts the P in the Funk, and without holding back one iota, delivers a one-two punch of soul, rock, reggae, funk and r&b.

Like a close range paint-ball blast to the gut, you'll feel it tomorrow, but tonight, enjoy it along with the beautiful crowd that always makes Wednesday night a party.

House Of Vibe Allstars.
Tonight at Harvelle's.

Ryan Cross and Co : Friday Night Soul Funk

Ryan Cross once again brought it, and while the place was steaming up from all the sweaty people in the club, Ryan stayed cool as ever, directing, producing and performing his wildly funky show.

The Toledo Show : Join The Congregation

You know what day it is.
You also know what happens at Harvelle's every week at this time.
That's right.
The pandemonium known as The Toledo Show.
It's as indescribable as it is soulful.
The combo of Mr Toledo Diamond, his bevy of burlesque beauties, and the awesome powerhouse band that holds it all together is something that packs 'em in, week after week.

Just like church.
At night.
With the pastor chain-smoking cigarillos,
and the choir turned up to 11.
Watch the video below for a clue.
You'll go to work Monday telling all your friends you've been born again.
And you'll want them to believe too.

This core group is more than enough entertainment value for your money, but Ryan knows all the hottest and most innovative players and singers in town, and some of them always stop by to turn up the heat!

Come early.
Ryan's dynamic ensemble promises to be one of the funkiest events Harvelle's has hosted in recent weeks.

Luminosity : Dedicated and Conscious

R&B, Reggae and Hip-Hop blend together nicely on a mix CD, but seeing a band throw it down live, seamlessly and with passion is a whole 'nother thang. The Luminous Movement return to Harvelle's Thursday, Nov 20 to delve deeper into their own unclassifiable genre. This encore performance will be a trip into their conscious positive vibe.

The evening's host, Freewill of Luminaries will lead his band through the smooth grooves from 10 til 2. DJ Dr FU will be spinnin the best of good vibrations. Check out my man Alexis on the skins! Come through and leave musically enlightened.

The Toledo Show : You better ask somebody!!!

More energetic than So Cal Edison, and certainly way way funkier, The Toledo Show starring Mr Toledo Diamond, is one hell of a power supply!!! Fronting his impossibly soulful revue, he leads his army of grimey funkateers through their paces for your pleasure. And that's not all. His troupe of dancers, The Dames, satisfy your lust for beauty in the form of women who dance with wild abandon. One of the underground's best kept secrets, the club is always at capacity when Sunday night rolls around. Don't sleep!!!
